Carissa Does sing in a Gospel Choir

Music is the strongest form of magic... and I just joined the church choir!

I moved to Nashville 6 years ago and joined the local YMCA for its convenience just a mile from my place. The YMCA happened to be connected to a church, called "Christ Church," so I found my curiosity set in and eventually went to a service.
The "Christ Church," choir had me in tears and hooked within the first song. I spent the next 5 years timidly tiptoeing into the church balcony on Sunday's to listen to the choir. Sometimes, I'd just lay in my bed and tune in online instead. I always thought to myself " I should audition for that choir," but then... didn't do it.
Finally, this year, with a little push from my friend Tina, I went to a few rehearsals which led to my audition. This past Sunday, September 1st, 2019 I made my debut singing as a member of the infamous "Christ Church Choir." God is guiding me loudly this year. He is answering my prayers in some of the most mysteriously awesome ways. There is still a ling list unanswered but the choir is more than just a choir. It is a new family. I feel a sense of unexplainable excitement about where I'm being led. Something feels ... Magic!

Stand by while the whatever magic happens -happens! I'll write about it.... and in the meantime be sure to check out the choir one Sunday morning!
